The Disaster Artist

My Life Inside The Room, the Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made

I'll admit that I laughed, groaned and sneered along to The Room, Tommy Wiseau's famous vanity movie. But there is much more to both the movie and man than appears on the surface. The Disaster Artist is the story of two aspiring actors who were seeming opposites: Wiseau a troll-like, aging European with an endless supply of money and optimism, and Greg Sestero a beloved, physically gifted California blond, lacking in both funds and self-confidence. In their different ways, they both fail in Hollywood, until they band together to create one of the most inept movies of all time. Sestero can see all sides of Wiseau: the paranoid, socially inept egomaniac, the sad, damaged immigrant, and the generous, sensitive mentor. Listening to the audio version, it will become evident that Sestero is a mediocre actor, but his monotone voice comes alive when telling anecdotes of his outrageous friend.
