It was kind of like the movies that make you say, "oh, okay" after you finish. Yes, it doesn't have a lot of ups and downs and seemed too long to be over two hours for the plot it has; but Affleck definitely delivered an exquisite, but emotionally suppressed performance. I mean, look at his half-shaven face, the dullness in his eyes and the winter jackets like an apparent weight on his shoulders. It's not a typical Hollywood movie or a blockbuster, but rather of everyday struggles and human emotions that are much needed in a world where only grand, near-fictional (if not already fictional) heroes make the cut.
