Characters: 8/10 Plot: 9/10 Writing: 10/10 With such a large cast of characters, it's hard to get a good sense of each of them as an individual, and of course Christie had some racial/ethnic stereotypes of the day that meant something to the contemporary reader that don't mean the same thing to me. The plot was purely intellectual. New things didn't happen, they just came out as things that had happened in the past. Yet, despite being restrained to a single setting and largely to dialogue, I was enraptured. I devoured this book.
