A really low standard in thriller writing with wafer-thin characters that the reader could care less about and a plot that defies logic and plain common sense. The writers did go to the trouble of making sure of the right locations for landmarks (e.g., Palais Garnier is in the 9th arrondissement). I'll give Patterson one more try but if this is the best that the world's best-selling writer can do then heaven help us.
