Local Eltham author Sabi Buehler tells the story of her family's migration story. It is mostly the story of her mother, a creative and interesting person, who found the country she ended up in not always what she expected or where she was happy. The stress on marriage and family life of this huge move from one side of the world to another, to a strange unknown country, to a place where no one was known or understood, was too often difficult.

This is a well written and sensitive book, full of understanding of the struggle that migration is.
