Too suspenseful. Not for the faint of heart. Good reading for those who enjoy this kind of book. I imagine that it is a great book, but I really couldn't sleep.

......" You have to be prepared around people like this, even with their legs shackled to the table that's screwed to the floor. They can be as tricky with the things they say as with things they do....."
Delightfully spooky!

Not Stephen King, but sufficiently creepy to keep me reading to the end. I liked how the author intertwined references to early horror/gothic novels such as Frankenstein, Dracula, and Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde into the fabric of this story.

Just wanted to say the rating reflects my enjoyment of this book, not the author's ability to write & tell a story. It's a simple case of a mismatch between reader & book. I like thrillers but this is much more in the vein of classic horror/fantasy which is not my preferred genre. My bad for not realizing that before I picked it up. If you're a fan of his previous books, this should be right up your alley. It's got an original premise & an interesting connection to 3 classics of the genre (Frankenstein, Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, Dracula).
