The book offers a wide range of vegetarian recipes. The author also mentions possible variations for most recipes. Most recipes come with a decent picture. Maybe one weakness is, that because of the wide range of recipes provided, a certain subset of recipes may not appeal to a reader for whatever reasons. On the other hand, I took notes for several recipes, because I felt intrigued by them.

Yes, this has lovely photos, helpful information, and intriguing recipes. But I didn't find any that I really wanted to make...maybe I'm just feeling lazy this summer but a lot of the recipes just seemed to require too much to make (either ingredients or time).

Deborah Madison is one of the best vegetarian chefs. This book updates some of her old and new favourites.
She also discusses current and past trends in vegetarian cooking as well as stressing techniques like learning how to use a knife, properly.
The food styling and photography make this book worth a look!
