This was a good read but with a messed up ending. I don't know if I could live with that type of secret nor was it her right to keep it.

The Lost and the Found is a suspenseful and emotional novel about two sisters who re-unite after 13 years. When Faith Logan was four years old, her older sister, Laurel was abducted. Her parents had started search parties, they were frequently seen on television, and Laurel’s story had not died down, despite her being gone for over 13 years. Finally, many years later, a woman is found in a garden holding on to Laurel’s prized possession as a child, Barnaby the bear. Laurel is finally back home to her beloved family. At first, Faith is not very comfortable with a new member in her family, but she learns to love her older sister. But when Laurel is home, a series of disturbing events are happening that confuse Faith and make her believe that everything is wrong, and maybe whatever was lost…has not been found yet. Personally, this novel grabbed my attention at the start. Laurel was assaulted in the novel but it was not uncomfortable because thankfully, the author does not go into detail about that. However, there is a lot of detail about the characters and situation. Some surprises have also been incorporated into the book which make the read a lot better.

I think that The Lost and the Found is a good book. I didn't like some parts in it, but there were some parts that I totally enjoyed. I hated Faith's confusion about her feelings for Thomas. She couldn't tell the readers (us) what she exactly feels, sometimes she says she really loves him and other times she says she doesn't miss him, which made me confused. I think that what makes "The Lost and the Found" special is its unique idea, and its interesting characters. I just wish that Cat Clarke added more suspense to the book and made the ending unpredictable, because I guessed the ending before I started reading the book. I give the book 6/10.
