A fairly good history of New Orleans before, during and after the hurricane. It is painful to think that had a few minor engineering modifications that people in the city had demanded for years of the Army Corps of Engineers were made, the city would not have been inundated the way it was - particularly notorious was the NOW closed Mr. Go (Mississippi River Gulf Outlet). Also interesting is how Ray Nagin, the city's mayor at the time, ended up being as corrupt as much of the already inept city's administration, and ended up being convicted for that.
