The producers have forgotten what the archetypes of the first Star Wars movies symbolized: good guy(s) versus the bad guys; boy rescues maiden girl; princess rules through goodness; there is value in sacrifce. Instead, we’re offered up the first serving of what is proving to be a very self-consciously PC and desperate rehash. Watchable, barely.

Star Wars The Force Awakens is only looked at as a poor Star Wars movie because people suggested that idea. I think it was necessary for them to do something like this in order to continue with that wicked follow up Rian Johnson put together. Shout out to him on that one. THE LAST JEDI. If you haven't already seen it go. I know already stupid people are like "It sucks" but that's trash. I don't think if your a true fan you'll ever see a Star Wars movie that completely stinks (okay Phantom Menace but really folks, cut them some slack).

The space opera continues, this time with much less actual drama and a lot more action, so much so that one is left confused as to why the good guys are so bonded after barely meeting each other. The main villain is a giant old deformed character named Snoke and the active participant is Solo's son. A new sort of Empire is being fought. Its paced well and is visually delectable.

My least favorite Star Wars movie so far, a total copy off of A New Hope. Desert planet, little droid with a mission, giant planet destroyer with a name that resembles The Death Star, and the killing off of one of the best Star Wars characters created! If this movie was the first Star Wars film it would be fine, that is the only reason I didn't give a rating of negative 5 stars. You will not like it if you are a real Star Wars fan. This movie is for the people who have barely seen any Star Wars before.
I do like Han Solo's Quote to Finn on the snow planet. I am tweeking it to fit my comment.
"This is not how Star Wars works!"
At least Rogue One made up for Disney ruining Star Wars. Rogue One was AWESOME!

I thought they did a good job with this movie. The storyline was different than the other six movies, and the characters were similar in some ways, but unique in most. Yes, Kylo Ren does wear a mask, but unlike Darth Vader, he can take it off, and it is not keeping him alive. The part I disliked most about the movie was the inclusion of the old characters. Carrie Fisher just doesn't look like Leia anymore, Harrison Ford virtually has wrinkles on his wrinkles, and Mark Hamill just looks creepy! Honestly, if you are getting second billing in the movie credits, you should be doing more than staring at Rey for, what, thirty seconds? How long does THAT take, even?! Still, I enjoyed it overall. Who couldn't like Star Wars, anyway?

The invisible Force is back along with new & old cast members. I like the combination & always enjoyed the idea that despite the futuristic setting of Star Wars, the events all take place a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. It's entertaining & includes some very genuine interactions that appear to be well scripted or possibly improvised.

I love the whole Star Wars series. I loved this film. It may be too scary for young children. I love the computer graphics. I highly recommend this film!

Great to watch again. Everything was great until they decide to blow up the Death Star/Moon (or what ever it was called).

Other: Not realistic Star Wars. Rey had never been trained yet is all of the sudden perfect with the force.
