The instructions and photos were very well-done. I did thing there was a fair amount of repetition so, although one could technically see 35 different style options, in reality it seemed way fewer than that. All the models shown had long hair. I have yet to try anything I saw in the book to see if it will work on medium length hair. And that raises the real issue with braids, buns and twists: Will I really take the time to do this in the morning before leaving for work?

I have read most of the circulating hair books in the King County Library System and this one is my favorite. The hairstyles all take a minimum amount of time and are great for intermediate to expert experience. The reason I like the hairstyles so much is because they are all very versatile and can be worn on any occasion with little time spent onto them and they turn out great I would give this book about 9.5 because you would need to have some experience to do most of the styles in this book.
