This is a sweet Amish romance between a talented baker and a builder. After the death of her fiance, Seth, Veronica finds an old recipe from her grandmother in the attic. She then creates a raspberry pie that becomes popular with family, friends, and a local bakery. Her fiance's best friend, Jason, becomes quite enamored with Veronica after seeing her at the stand where she sells her pies, jams, and relishes. This novel shares their story of lives more simplistic and innocent than most. It is a nice summer read.

Sweet, pleasant romance that has you rooting for the characters and relieved at one point, only to be disappointed as a twist threatens the relationship again.
