"This moving read will have you reaching for the tissues and smiling with delight....Stunningly alive on the page, Esther shows that sometimes the true meaning of life--helping and loving others--can be found even when bravely facing death." - People Magazine, 4 stars

In full color and illustrated with art and photographs, this is a collection of the journals, fiction, letters, and sketches of the late Esther Grace Earl, who passed away in 2010 at the age of 16. Essays by family and friends help to tell Esther's story along with an introduction by award-winning author John Green who dedicated his #1 bestselling novel The Fault in Our Stars to her.

This book was amazing. I loved the pictures and all the journals. Must-read if you read The Fault In Our Stars.

Great book for those who want to get to know the real Hazel

Um, in response to leslietrejoxo, Esther Earl isn't Hazel from tfios. Esther inspired the book and creation of Hazel, but John Green himself has said that she isn't the real-life version of Hazel.

I absolutely loved this book! While I was reading it, I thought about how amazing a girl Esther was and how much I'd love to meet her, but then I remembered that she died in 2010, and this made me really sad. I cried through almost the whole book. I would reccomend this book for anyone who isn't too affected by sad stories, as I dwelled on it a lot after I read it and sometimes cried thinking about Esther after the book was over. I love you Esther! I'll miss you!

This is the journals and personal letters of the young girl who inspired John Green to write his popular book "The Fault In Our Stars"

“We live in a world defined by its boundaries: You cannot travel faster than the speed of light. You must and will die. You cannot escape these boundaries. But the miracl and hope of human consciousness is that we can still conceive of boundlessness.”
