This is an excellent book! It is very complete with descriptive instructions, detailed illustrations, and beautiful photographs. When I finally set aside the time to sit down and do some ribbon embroidery, I intend to purchase my own copy of this book, as it that well done.

I've been searching for the perfect ribbon embroidery book for a couple of years now. This is it. The first 36 pages give step by step instructions on doing the various ribbon embroidery stitches. Needles are discussed (mostly chenille needles size 13-24) as are ribbons (mostly silk ribbon). The rest of the book is devoted to various projects. I liked very few of the actual projects, but within each project is a new embroidery stitch, instructions on how to do it, and blow ups of some of the details like the little flowers or animals. There are also templates or guides in the back for transferring to fabric and which stitches go where. This is hands down the best ribbon embroidery book I have found yet. It's not just for napkins and placemats and other linens. You can do quite a lot with ribbon embroidery and it's more washable than beaded embroidery.

This is an excellent book on ribbon embroidery. Each stitch is shown in well photographed step by step progression. There are easily understood captions for each image.

Also provided are projects that range from a simple floral spray to more complex designs. Each has a list of the stitches employed and materials used.

This is a book I would buy. In fact, the only negative comment I have is that a different binding allowing the book to open and stay flat would have been perfect.
