Good solid story. I look forward to reading #3 in the series but have to take a break. Earlier reviewer was correct that the stories do get into a lot of personal, non-cop things. With all the wrong-doings by the cops, it makes one wonder how they get the opportunity and ability to mess up so many other peoples' life's while they are doing so many illegal, unethical things. I think this also goes on in real life.
A quick, fast-paced read that kept me glued to the pages. I hadn't read the previous book (the first in this series), and there were some references to that mystery but I didn't feel "lost". I enjoyed this one, and this is definitely a series to keep on my radar.
I enjoy police procedurals that have a bit of personal life in them. This, however, is stuffed with way too much of the cops' unprofessional doings.
Great sequel to Eeny Meeny - more information comes out on the life of Helen Grace before she became a detective. She is a very complex character and I hope that we find out how she became a member of the police force Can't wait for the next edition to this series due out in the first of the year.
