Love this series. Can't wait for the next book.

Most enjoyable and I liked the way the mystery and the murders built up to the denouement. This is the seventh of the Cat in the Stacks mysteries and the first one I've read. Librarians, books, cats and a preoccupation with meals? What's not to like? The Southern American flavour is very evident. My only beef really is with the cover of this large print edition, cute and attractive as it is. Charlie's cat Diesel is a Maine Coon cat; a very large long-haired tabby, not a sleek black and white model.

Easy read for the summer. I enjoyed the book. The only negative item would be that the main event of murder did not occur until the book was past 100 pages, which was primarily due to the author taking time to really establish her characters.
