This book was a huge disappointment. I was actually angry when I finished it. It's not simply a matter of a fake engagement, it's the mixture of business with pleasure in a way that leaves a very bad aftertaste.
One example: Male lead is at society event where ad companies are "wooing him". He gets propositioned by some of the female staff of said companies. He regards this "cynically". But soon thereafter thinks how he would wouldn't mind if this happened with Cecilia. Later emphasizes that he can separate business from pleasure from pleasure. But never does so.
And don't get me started on her.
To sum it up: Don't read. Even good writing style can't save this.
