This time, there's no escape from The Realm.

The MindWar Realm is a computerized world created by a deranged terrorist named Kurodar. Built through a link between Kurodar's mind and a network of supercomputers, The Realm is a pathway through which the madman can project himself into any computer system on the planet.

Twice before, Rick Dial has entered the Realm as a Mind Warrior and come back alive. But now, something has gone terribly wrong. A connection has formed in Rick's brain that sends him hurtling into The Realm without his consent--and brings the Realm's monsters into the Real World.

As Kurodar works to turn Rick's brain to his own purposes, Rick's waking and sleeping life is ravaged by terrors he never imagined.

Rick knows he has no choice but to face The Realm's final and most powerful protector. But can Rick destroy MindWar without destroying himself and the people he loves?

The book Game Over by author Andrew Klavan, is a definite read for anyone who loves action packed, suspenseful books. It is mainly about a young teenager named Rick, whose mind is hacked by a cyber terrorist named Kurodar, who causes havoc on America and threatens the safety of the world. To stop this, Rick embarks on a adventure with his comrades inside a cyber realm, where he and his teammates tries to defeat Kurodar.
For me, Mariel would be a good character to describe in the story as she is always very light-hearted and optimistic, although at times she could also be very quiet and become an introvert. In a way, Mariel is like the ‘sunshine’ or ‘rainbow’ in the story. On the contrary, Commander Mars is the type of character that seems like a good guy but at the same time, a bit quirky and dodgy. In my opinion, Commander Mars is a character to watch out for in the story.
A highlight from the story would be when the creatures of Kurodar’s mind teleports to the real world, where an action packed battle rages between humans and the undead security bots (which came from Kurodar’s cyber realm). Unfortunately, a key character of the story dies in the battle, which drops the mood a bit.
For anyone who is wanting a taste of action or maybe are interested in the blurred line between reality and imagination, this would be a definite go-to book. In fact, this book is the ending to a trilogy so for anyone who gets confused in the story, it’s ok because what you are reading is the ending, not the beginning (hence why the book seems to lack an introduction of characters and settings in the opening chapters). For this book, I would give it a four and a half out of five.
