A blunt and brutally honest memoir about Beckel's lifelong struggles with addiction and his stints as a political consultant, government official, and TV personality. The book is too long and repetitive, and I sometimes wondered about the accuracy of Beckel's recollections given all of his substance abuse. But, overall, I found this book informative and riveting.
