Such a fun spin on Cinderella! She's too young for marriage, but she'll be the prince's chief rocket mechanic :D

Cinderella modernized! Outer space is the place and a wrench is what the prince has to match....but there's a new and empowered ending to this story!

A wonderful book in which Cinderella is a space mechanic and lives happily ever after fixing rockets instead of marrying the prince. The art is great and it's a fun twist on an old story.

I think this is the cutest thing I've ever seen!

My 3 year old loved this book and we loved the fresh spin on a very dated Cinderella story!

This is a really clever, reimagined Cinderella tale where Cinderella is chosen not for her beauty and shoe size but her spaceship mechanic skills. Great read for those who like fairy tales and space/robot adventures as well as female characters who make their own way!

A futuristic retelling of Cinderella where she is a space mechanic sought after by the prince for her superior mechanical skills. The rhyming text is clever and fun- especially given the robot and space vocabulary used. The vivid illustrations add to the story as well and will make this a fun picture book to read over and over.

This is easily one of my favorite picture books I've read this year. I loved the artwork, I was super impressed by the author's ability to make this one rhyme (considering how much mechanical space jargon there is), and I loved the reimagining of Cinderella as a feminist heroine. A total delight from start to finish, for kids and adults alike.

This one is definitely a new favorite with a spunky space mechanic heroine, fun rhyming text, multiracial characters, and a twist to the ending. Loved it.

What if Cinderella left behind not a slipper, but a socket wrench? In this retro-modern retelling set in space, Cinderella is a rocket mechanic who's left behind when her family goes to the Royal Space Parade. With some tools and a sparkly spacesuit from her fairy godrobot, however, Cinderella makes her own way to the parade, where she wins not the prince's hand, but a job as his chief mechanic. Blending science fiction and fairy tales, Interstellar Cinderella will entertain young readers of all kinds. Looking for more stereotype-busting princess stories? Try Shannon Hale's The Princess in Black or Kate Beaton's The Princess and the Pony.

She landed right beside the prince. "That wrench is mine!" she cried. She quickly fixed the ailing ship. The prince said, "Be my bride!". She thought this over carefully. Her family watched in panic. "I'm far too young for marriage, but I'll be your chief mechanic."
