Answering Shakespeare trivia comes with the job description for library director Lindsey Norris. But when the Briar Creek Community Theater mounts their newest production of the Bard, she has no intention of leaving the stacks for the stage. Unfortunately a villain is waiting in the wings. Former Broadway actress Violet La Rue is holding auditions for A Midsummer Night's Dream and everyone from the sour spinster librarian Ms. Cole to Lindsey's youthful library pages are trying out for parts. Brought in to play the mischievous Puck is the flirtatious professional actor Robbie Vine, who seems to have eyes for Lindsey. Before her blush has faded, the Bard's dream turns into a nightmare, when one of the cast is poisoned. Now Lindsey and her crafternooners must take center stage to unmask the culprit before the final curtain call.

library lover's mystery #4, I think.
am liking this series, pretty good for a cozy mystery.
this one continues the story of Lindsey, in Briar Creek, Conn, at the library, and this time, at the community theater.

Plucky, inquisitive librarian Lindsay is a growing favourite character for me. Add in some community theatre and it's a win-win. Fun and engaging, I like this series. Am looking forward to the next one.

Delightful and quick read that incorporates a good mystery and a love triangle in the making. Great cast of characters, love the library backdrop, and the community theater adds plenty of drama. Love this series and can't wait for the next in line.

Drama unfolds on stage as well as off stage during the preparations of the local community theater's rendition of A Mid Summer Night's Dream. When the star of the play, Robbie Vine, is murdered, suspects are found to be numerous considering his almost-ex-wife and ex-girlfriend are on the scene as well. When Lindsey, the local librarian, determines to ferret out information about his past, she uncovers hidden connections to members of the cast. Learning the truth is dangerous and Lindsey's life hangs in the balance, literally. Robbie and Lindsey's obvious affection for each other didn't go unnoticed, especially by ex-boyfriend Sully. Lindsey is torn between the two men, who are as different as night and day.
