This had some neat ideas but didn't really focus or take off, at least not in this volume. The art is decent, there are some nice moments like when the sea monster takes on a huge boat. The story is really dumb & overdone. Amateur.

A fun read and a unique premise, Great Pacific mixes science fiction and political intrigue to create an engaging social commentary... filled with giant cephalopods, two-headed birds, and cybernetically enhanced fish!

Quite frankly, the art style is not quite Frank Quitely. Perspectives are off, and faces tend to mutate, and that mutation has nothing to do with the radioactive waste that enters the story in the second act. Don't believe the hype from the blurbs on this book, it is not "a perfect sci-fi story". In fact the story is fractured and confusing. Keep trying though!
