Welcome to Aunt Pat's barbecue restaurant in the heart of Memphis. Family run, it was named for Lulu Taylor's great-aunt. When an anonymous food critic blasts several local restaurants - including Aunt Pat's - with bad reviews, Lulu and her customers are burning mad, especially when they discover that Eppie Currian is the pen name of their friend's cheating boyfriend. Then "Eppie" gets his own fatal review, and the list of suspects is long. To catch the real killer, Lulu is going to have to put down her barbeque tongs.

Easy read. Very down south, small town kind of murder. Not too much gore but still lots of bodies. I get the feeling this series (?) won't be very long lived, as Adams seems to have killed off a large portion of the population of the town just in this book.

Quick, easy, amusing read. Stereotypical(?) Southern characters and phrasing.
