Dark inside was a good book for people that like how some authors think the world is going to end. It was hard to keep track of all the different characters. Every chapter there would be a new person and it started to get really confusing though it was a good read. Its about all the citys in the world, the citys were normal and how suddenly things can change drastically.
okay read.

Dark Inside is Jeyn Roberts’ multi-perspective YA novel about a kind of apocalyptic event that happens after a huge earthquake hits North America’s west coast. Cities are destroyed, yes, but a kind of evil is unleashed, not just at the earthquake site but in everyone’s souls. The book follows a scattered bunch of teenagers as they try to deal with the end of the world.

The book feels like a zombie book, since everyone aside from our protagonists has changed into bloodthirsty terrible murderers, but they haven’t gone brainless, just embraced their inner evil. This evil inside everyone is left pretty nebulous, as is the reason why the characters we’re following are spared it. The people who have turned (so most of the population) are terrible and terrifying, and some of the scenes are pretty intense. It would make for the kind of movie I couldn’t really watch, myself.

The teens are all eventually converging on Vancouver for various reasons (looking for a lost brother, keeping a promise to someone met on the road from Saskatoon, that kind of thing) and there are plenty of good scenes on the way. People feel survivor guilt and show survival skills and all in all it’s pretty good. And props to the book having interesting First Nations characters who didn’t feel like stereotypes. They weren’t the main characters but they were there, doing stuff like the rest of the kids with their own specific problems and issues.

This book was a quick read for me, it was pretty good...will definitely be reading the next one to find out what happens..

dark inside was really well written, but it did get slightly confusing with the different characters, but that made it interesting, i would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants a suspenseful horror or if they want something with zombies in it. even thou (spoiler alert?) there not actually zombies unless you consider evil cannibalistic people who seem to have lost their minds zombies. i would give this a...8/10 and im planning on reading the next book (rage within i think?) and im hoping to find/read more about the nothing. ( i loved reading the nothing parts, they sent chills up and done my spine. (sorry if the last bit didn't make sense, if you haven't read it, but you should read it and then you'll understand

I LOVED this book! It's so suspenseful that I couldn't stop thinking about it until a while after I had finished reading it. It's scary, humorous, dramatic and believable. SPOILER ALERT! Not all the characters are flawless heroes, making it feel truly real. Read it, read it, read it!

Book gets you hooked. Very suspenseful, and good describing.
What I'm, wondering is why don't they have rage within yet? The second book to this, and obviously there is going to be a third book, due to the ending of the second. I bought rage within in book stores in January, so you think epl would at least have it on order. Both are great books.
