Ashtown Burials,The Dragons Tooth Hi reader, I'm doing a book review on The Dragons Tooth by N. D. Wilson. It all starts with Cyrus and Antigone Smith at their home, The Archer Motel. With the help of Cyrus's older brother, Dan, they run the old motel that only has one customer, who demands her evening waffles. The days pass in unbroken dullness until a man by the name of Billy Bones shows up at the motel and asks for room 111, which is Cyrus's room! From fire-ball spitting guns to long Latin oaths join Cyrus and Antigone on adventures that will test them mentally and physically. This will be a book you will not put down.

I love this book and the entire series. N. D. Wilson is the best author ever. Definitely for older kids as it is very intense. I would strongly recommend to anybody looking for this type of book.

This was my first introduction to N. D. Wilson (My parents got it for me for Christmas when it first came out), and as the girl
tomboy homeschooler I was, I devoured it!! He is now my favorite author, and I own all his books! For teens at least. This is the first book in the series, and even though the character development seems to be lacking, if you compare the Cyrus of Empire of Bones with the Cyrus of the Dragon's Tooth, then you will be very surprised.
Also, I would encourage any reader to look up the places & transmortals, as a lot of them are real.

Excellent read. It is fast paced, and you get to know the characters well through their actions and decisions. The author incorporates real places and history into the fantasy, making it more believable and close to home. While an easy read for an adult, I certainly wasn't ever bored!

This book never let me stop to catch my breath. It's very good if u don't mind a lack of descriptive quality and character development. Shame that such great ideas and plot twists weren't packaged better. If the author was better at describing the environment, people, and actions happening this could've been a book to rival tolkien and potter, unfortunately it's painfully fast paced and doesn't let u have time to bond with the main characters until it's too late.

"After a mysterious, violent incident that results in the kidnapping of their older brother, Cyrus and Antigone Smith discover that they're now part of the Order of Brendan, a secret society for explorers. The siblings head to the Order's headquarters in Ashtown in search of answers, but instead they encounter immortal enemies, mythological creatures, magical artifacts, and shocking family secrets. Set in an imaginative alternate world, this 1st volume in the Ashtown Burials series combines relentless action and well-drawn characters to create an irresistible fantasy adventure." Don't listen to that comment! Best book ever! Very good, twisting plot that requires you to think to understand. Five stars.

This book made absolutely no sense at all. After reading 200 pages, nothing had been explained and I had absolutely no idea what was going on. Cyrus and Antigone (the main characters) weren't developed, really, and everyone important to the story had died within the first 5 chapters.

Confusing and horrible book!

Amazing series, though would prefer a little more character development but otherwise quite good. When a young boy and his twin sister are told they're heirs to a rich notorious thief in a notorious company. They're thrust into a world filled with magic and danger. Will him and his sister be able to uncover a plot that's been concocted against them to steal they're money or will they lose everything... Even their lives?
