This story is good to show a small child what they can do on their own with their own creativity! It also brings back memories of sharing our lives with those around us - something which people are typically "too busy" doing things for themselves to do make time with others now. I like the old school mentality behind it to encourage socialism over media/devices to share and make your own happiness where it at first seemed blue. Nancy turns her loneliness (when her friend is away) into something amazing to share.
