Since then his life has been nomadic and solitary. Now the dying are hinting that his long service may be over, and Tyler begins to hope for a normal, mortal life with Amanda, the woman he loves. But Tyler is being pursued by an old enemy who will stop at nothing to destroy him.

Overall ok. At times, book seemed written for young readers, other times it promised an intriguing plot, but overall it was pretty lame. Very convoluted story line, only partly formed characters that didn't ring true anyway. I would'nt recomment unless there was little else on the shelf.

Departure from her usual offerings.

I was delighted to read on the back jacket that the author is working on another Irene Kelly mystery.
