Enjoyable, very good acting.
I can't believe good actors such as Schreiber and Voight actually got involved in this piece of junk. This is a disgusting show. Everything that is bad, vile and vicious in humans is portrayed here--and only that, nothing good or wholesome. I feel sorry for the people who conceived this trash-fest: they are certainly miserable, scarred creatures.
Darkly fascinating series, very absorbing and addicting. Lead actor excellent and I agree that there are traces of Sopranos here. I'm finishing first season and will be interested to see if it can maintain. NOT homophobic in my opinion but does a decent job of showing many different types of non-heterosexual characters.
This is an addicting show. Reminds me of The Sopranos in that you're rooting for people who really aren't very good people. Ray has standards, but he really isn't a good guy. It's kind of a train wreck, but very well acted. Liev Schreiber and Jon Voight really stand out.
Godawful. Vulgar, pretentious, cliched, grating music, A complete waste of Liev Schreiber (see him in "Defiance" and "The Reluctant Fundamentalist"). Did not finish, wasn't worth destroying brain cells.
Good series. Yet I wish we knew more about the characters: particularly, Ray’s employer, his team of enforcers, and how they all got together in the first place. Hopefully, we’ll get answers in Season 2.
This is one of the better dramas on television. The cast is amazing and the story lines are great.
Homophobic crap !
I too gave up after watching part of episode four when it became clear that the story would go on and on with more and more open ended subplots. There were a few colorful characters none personable and their quirks got old soon. Lack of humor, zero clever dialogues, and no attempt to engage audiences ... , who cares what the writers would serve up next.
Watched four episodes and gave up on it. No heroes, just a bunch of sociopathic losers. I was hoping Ray could be someone to root for. Nope. Just boos all around with no light in sight.
