The Wizard of Oz
by Alberto, Daisy (c2012)
New York : Random House, c2012 (1st ed.)

I enjoyed reading the book to my 4 and 6 year old. However, readers beware, the story about the Tin Woodman on what happened to him may need to be glossed over. My 4 year old likes the part about the tornado the best (He is fast becoming a Tornado expert).

The boys enjoyed this and sat in my lap. There aren't many pictures, but when there are, they liked them. Make sure you have a glass of water near by as I found that the boys wanted me to read the book in one setting such that I nearly lost my voice.

We have since followed up watching the classic movie after reading the story several times. I like some aspects of the book better and in some cases I like certain aspects of the movie better.

Glad I checked it out.
