Although this book is “fiction” - it is so believable of what probably occurred - very well written.

Mitza Maric is a genius woman, studying physics whilst other women of her age have been married to husbands. Drawn to fellow student Albert Einstein's charm and similarities, Mitza marries Einstein. The novel offers speculation on the…

Sad. Heartbreaking. Fascinating. Sometimes I doubt that women have come all that far; there are still so many impossible choices. It seems that those who do manage professional success, even now, often have powerful men supporting their…

An excellent fictional account based on true events. Author Marie Benedict does a great job of presenting the emotional journey of Albert Einstein's first wife. This story follows the unfortunate chain of decisions that took an extremely…

What a beast she was married to. What a womanizer he was. Too bad she could not have been part of the Me Too Movement. This book answered so many questions I had. I hope someday we will be able to see her given the glory she deserves.

Makes you really think, about "what if only" ? Great Story, trying times for women who wanted to steer their life in a different direction from the norm. Excellent story.

Strong women whose ideas and work was credited to a man is almost a sub genre. We need these stories, even as fiction, as a tribute.

Historical fiction is a favourite genre and I am intrigued by the emergence of novels focused on trying to illuminate the stories of women married to famous men. The afterword outlines the possibilities around Mrs. Einstein's contributions…

Book club May, 2020. Was Einstein really the great physicist or was he aided immensely by his wife? Great questions.

I really loved this book. I am a huge fan of historical fiction as it often draws in any reader into a story. Historical fiction takes an amount of research and fills in the blanks with imagination and storytelling; they can be great…

How much does the Theory of Relativity owe to the intelligence of Albert and how much to his wife Mileva?

This was an interesting read. I felt it could have been written better but enjoyed considering the matter I never had before.

So much potential in the woman who Einstein fell in love with. The author portrays Einstein as a manipulative person who does not give up until he has succeeded in sucking all the intelligence out of this woman and leaving her with…

As a young man, well before he moved to the United States in 1940, Albert Einstein was married to a woman whose intelligence rivaled his own, and who was quite possibly a collaborator on his infamous 1905 paper on special relativity. After…

This is the first thing I have read about Einstein and his brilliant wife, I had no idea she was a genius and am so disheartened that she was completely sidelined after their marriage. I always think how lucky I am to have been born in the…

Although one can never know the truth of a marriage especially through a novel, this book did not leave me with a very unfavorable opinion of Mr. Einstein. If he truly claimed his wife's seminal paper on relativity as his own and accepted…

I enjoyed reading this story because it's specific yet universal. The words used to tell this story may not have been poetic, but the feeling I had after reading it was. I've had a special fondness for Einstein for as long as I can…

This is about Mileva Maric, the only female to study physics at Polytechnic University in Zurich. Women at university just wasn't a thing back then. Her father had to petition to get her into the program. This is where she met Albert…

This fictionalized version of Mileva's and Albert's Einsteins life together is a good read. women Certainly the sacrifices women had to endure, academically, professionally expectation wise, as well as having few economic choices is…

Mileva Meric was a brilliant physics student at a Zurich University. Her studies were sidelined when she fell in love with fellow student, Albert Einstein.

I found this an engaging book, which made me question just how involved was 'Mitza' in collaboration with Albert Einstein in their scientific discoveries. If indeed she was as involved as the story suggests, this opens up the possibility…
