Turn a simple cardboard tube into an ancient Egyptian cat! Children will gently flatten a cardboard tube to create a cat shape, then wrap it in tape to mimic the look of mummy wrappings. After that, they’ll paint and decorate their creations to bring their mummified cats to life. While we craft, we’ll talk about how ancient Egyptians honored and mummified cats, and why these animals were so important in their culture.
