Join us for a hands-on family program celebrating the rich traditions of quilting and weaving in Black culture. Together, we’ll explore how quilts have carried stories, honored ancestors, and preserved history across generations.
Families will read short biographies of influential Black figures, color their portraits, and add them to our growing community “quilt.” Kids will also get the chance to practice simple weaving using colorful construction paper, learning how individual pieces can come together to create something beautiful and meaningful.
Come create, learn, and help us weave a tapestry of pride, heritage, and community!
