Events › Sensory Story Time: Bugs and Insects

Join us for books, songs, rhymes and other fun activities. This story time is designed for children ages 3-10 with autism or other sensory processing needs and their families (siblings welcome). Registration is required as space is limited. Event is in partnership with the Autism Society of Mahoning Valley. They will provide fidget toys for the children and collaborate with us to assist on sensory and visual needs.

Story Time Structure:

• Welcome Song
• Short Story
• Simple Song, Fingerplay, Activity or Rhyme (May includes scarves, bean bags, or similar manipulative items. Songs with music can be lowered and noise-canceling headphones are available)
• Short Story
• Simple Song, Fingerplay, Activity or Rhyme (May includes scarves, bean bags, or similar manipulative items. Songs with music can be lowered and noise-canceling headphones are available)
• Goodbye Song
• Playtime: Free play with various sensory activities.
