Salsa with Stepping Out Nutrition! May is National Salsa month! Salsa is a vibrant, colorful, and healthy way to add flavor and color to any dish. The perfect way to celebrate is by experimenting with different salsa recipes and ideas. Join us and make a few different kinds of salsa, learn basic knife skills and techniques, and explore ways to use these healthy condiments to liven up your meals. Containers to take home your creations will be provided.

The Stepping Out Program is a free program provided through a grant from the Mercy Health Foundation. Its mission is to provide access to physical activities in areas where people do not have a safe neighborhood or cannot afford a membership at a fitness center. The Stepping Out program helps individuals increase their physical activity levels, improve their eating habits, and helps them lead an overall healthier lifestyle. Stepping Out offers free physical activities such as aerobics, core strength training, line dancing, Body Boot Camp, walking classes, Zumba, yoga, Pilates, ballroom dancing and more.
